Infill rental tower at Ambleside Towers to add 131 new units to property

The property surrounding the Ambleside Towers rental apartments in West Vancouver will see the addition of 131 new, purpose-built rental units.

Wall Financial Corp. has applied to construct a 17-storey rental apartment tower on an under-utilized corner of the site. There will also be a two-storey building containing 20 townhouses.

Unit sizes will include studios, one, two and three bedroom units. The architect is Buttjes Architecture Inc.

The existing rental apartment tower contains 185 units and will be retained. On-site parking will be increased from 183 to 208 spaces within the underground parkade.

The architecture of the new rental tower is designed to complement the existing Ambleside Towers building, with grooved concrete and grey and blue spandrel.
