Bucci Developments is proposing a mixed-use community in Fleetwood, adjacent to a future SkyTrain station on the Surrey-Langley extension.

The Vancouver-based developer had planned to hold a public open house earlier this month, but that was cancelled due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

The developer owns two properties at 16065 and 16099 Fraser Highway, and a recent online development inquiry with the City of Surrey reveals the project could include up to 1,320 units and 86,833 sq ft. of commercial space.

The extension of the SkyTrain to Langley would extend the Expo Line 16 kilometres from King George SkyTrain Station to Langley City Centre along Fraser Highway, and include eight new stations. The cost is estimated at $3.1 billion.

TransLink says there is currently $1.63 billion in available funding, subject to business case approval by senior governments, which is enough to see the project reach 166 St in Fleetwood — near the Bucci development site. The line will likely be built in phases.

Bucci Developments says the renderings of the proposed development are conceptual and subject to change. To learn more, visit bucci.com/fleetwood
