Candou Management brings “can do” attitude to upcoming 35-storey tower

A little-known company called Candou Management Ltd. is planning to develop a 35-storey condo tower at the corner of Hornby and Drake streets, on the site of the Three Bridges Community Health Clinic.

The tower at 1290 Hornby Street will be directly across the street from the upcoming 54-storey Burrard Place tower, and west of the recently completed Tate on Howe tower.

The design, by Merrick Architecture, will include 159 suites, 100 of which will be studio or one bedroom units.

A 10,000 sq ft. artist studio is proposed on levels one and two, with access from the lane. The adjacent Tate on Howe development also includes artist studios on the ground level, so it’s hoped people will be able to travel easily between the two buildings via the laneway.

If all goes according to plan, presales will start in 2020 with completion in March 2023.
