IBI Group awarded for two projects: Parq casino and CentreView

The Parq Vancouver casino and the CentreView development in North Vancouver have both been recognized for design excellence.

IBI Group’s design of the Parq Vancouver casino, in collaboration with ARCOP and ACDF Architecture, won a Judges Choice Award at the NAIOP Vancouver and Business in Vancouver Commerical Real Estate Awards of Excellence.

The 800,000 sq ft. casino, entertainment and hotel complex opened in September 2017.

CentreView in North Vancouver, developed by Onni Group and designed by IBI Group won the UDI Award of Excellence for Best Mixed-Use Building.

The development is made up of two residential towers (24 and 17-storeys), a four-storey office building, daycare facility and a retail and commercial podium which includes a Whole Foods Market.

“CentreView exemplifies IBI Group’s approach to designing smart cities with its close proximity to public transportation, recreation areas, and other amenities,” said Martin Bruckner, director and architect, IBI Group.

IBI Group is the seventh largest architecture firm in the world and the largest Canadian architecture firm. Its latest high-profile project is a 60-storey residential tower overlooking Nelson Park in Vancouver’s West End.
