Infill rental apartment tower planned for Kerrisdale

Larco has applied for the City of Vancouver to add a 14-storey infill rental apartment tower to its property in Kerrisdale.

The site, at 5455 Balsam Street, is home to an existing 14-storey rental apartment tower with 88 units, located on the south portion of the lot. The new tower will be built adjacent to the existing building, and consist of 145 units — 35 per cent of which will be two bedrooms or larger.

A new outdoor amenity space will be created between the two towers, and several mature trees on the north end of the site will be retained.

The architects are RH Architects, Inc. and the rezoning is being considered under the city’s Secured Rental Policy.
