Apartment building to replace four single-family homes in Marpole

Four single-family lots on West 64th Avenue near Cambie and Marine Drive will be consolidated to make way for an apartment building.

RH Architects Inc. has applied for a development permit application for the property,  now known as 455 West 64th Avenue, to develop a four-storey, 43-unit building with 54 underground parking spaces.

The building’s exterior will be clad in white brick, and the units will all have patios, balconies — or in the case of the penthouses — large partially-covered outdoor spaces.

The development site is part of the Marpole Community Plan area, which over the next 30 years, should see the addition of 1,085 new social housing units, 835 market rental units, and 6,800 new strata units, according to the city’s plan.
