The developer of an upcoming six-storey condominium building at East 4th and Main Street is asking the city for the flexibility to convert the units into hotel rooms.

A seven-storey light manufacturing and office building is planned by PortLiving for a triangular site in Railtown.
PortLiving plans 61 homes for Mount Pleasant corner

Gastown and Chinatown condos near completion
There are big, transformative changes afoot in Vancouver’s oldest neighbourhood, the Downtown Eastside, and especially in the Chinatown and Gastown areas.
Both areas are home to several new condo and rental projects, with more in the pipeline. Buildings completing soon include Framework by Porte, 188 Keefer by Westbank, InGastown by PortLiving and Sequel 138.
There are also several rental projects including Bluesky Chinatown and an upcoming rental building by Wall Financial at the corner of East Hastings Street and Gore Avenue.
Japanese architect to design upcoming Coal Harbour luxury condos
A Vancouver-based developer is partnering with an eclectic, award-winning Japanese architect to design a new luxury condo tower in Coal Harbour.
PortLiving announced Wednesday that they are going to be working with Shigeru Ban on his first project ever in Canada.
The yet-to-be-named condo development will be built at 1250 West Hastings Street between Bute and Alberni streets, former site of proposed “The Views” project, which did not go forward.
